2024 - Product Release

The first batch of BioTube tree shelters were supplied to the Isle of Man Government Forestry Department for DEFA (Department of Environment, Food & Agriculture) on the Biosphere Island of the Isle of Man.BioCycle proudly become a UNESCO Biosphere Partner.

2023 - United States Department of Agriculture

The Biotube gains the prestigious USDA biobased product approval.

2021 - Joint Venture

Biocycle Innovations enter a joint venture with Palmer International, Skippack, Pensylvainia, USA. Biocycle Palmer is formed to manufacture and distribute The Biotube and associated products.

2010 Field Trials

BioCycle conduct field trials of the Biotube continue in North Wales.

In Scandinavia, we conduct further succesful trials of our seedling cover the ‘The Bug Bar’, at SLU (Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences) in Lamhult, Sweden, for the prevention of damage by Pine weevles – Hylobius abietis.

2007 - European Grant

Due to recognition of our achievemnts, Biocycle are awarded a European Framework agreement grant of €430,000 to further investigate biodegradable polymers.

2006 - Manufacturing

Pilot plant set up in Anglesey, North Wales to investigate various methods of manufacturing of new biodegradable material.

2005

Adrianne & David Jones visit Palmer International Inc, Skippack, Pensylvaina, USA who are a global leader in CNSL technology.

2004 - Recognition

Adrianne Jones wins Female Innovator of the Year 2005 and is invited to the Buckingham Palace Garden party.

BioCycle also win the Green Apple Environmental award along with Gold medals at the Genveva and British Invention shows.

2001 - Research & Development

Pera International confirms our discovery that a CNSL (Cashew Nut Shell Liquid) and natural fibres are the best natural raw materials to create a fully biodegradable tree shelter. The new tree shelter is named The BioTube.

2000 - The Beginning

Adrianne & David Lloyd Jones set out to create a Biodegradable tree shelter to combat plastic waste. The company name ‘BioCycle’ was chosen, from the words Biodegradable & Recycle.
